Life is so much better at the Beach

The Beach Pub is a wonderful pub on Exmouth seafront, near the marina, good food and friendly staff, and it was a privilege to be asked to paint on it. Alongside a major refurbishment I painted a slogan in illustrative type, with the ever present seagulls and a fishing boat returning home.

When painting on scaffolding you become aware of the sounds around you. The sounds around the Beach Pub were always happy, a lot of laughing

This is a homage to the Exmouth fishing boat Sarah Jane, whose skipper used to drink in the pub, sadly lost his life in 2012.
